The menfolk say there’s probably something intriguing about Jessica Biel playing a stripper. Having never seen I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, or Seventh Heaven, or probably anything with Biel in it, I feel about it pretty much the same way I did when Lindsay Lohan played a stripper. I ask myself, will this be the worst movie ever made? We all know how it turned out with Lindsay.
But Jessica’s stripper movie, Powder Blue, also stars Forest Whitaker, so odds are it won’t be a disaster. And it’s the movie which Patrick Swayze is striving to complete as he struggles with pancreatic cancer. So maybe there will come a time when we don’t all just refer to it as “the Jessica Biel stripper movie”?
Well, not if the first poster, available over at Get The Big Picture has anything to say about it. Because while this movie is apparently about four strangers come together through a series of circumstances on Christmas Eve, the poster screams “Naked lady! Naked lady!” We see what is presumably Biel’s body in silhouette, and what other kind of career can you think of in which you wear heels but no pants?
The movie doesn’t come out until December 31, so you Biel fans will have to hold your horses until then. Honestly, if the girl is trying to take on a dramatic role and be taken more seriously in her career, there were probably better choices than to play a stripper. But hey, it’ll definitely get butts into the theaters.
