Brendan Fraser has admitted that he is losing his fearless attitude as he approaches his 40th birthday.
The actor revealed that he was wary of performing his own stunts when he reprised the role of explorer Rick O'Connell in the latest Mummy film.
Fraser told the Daily Record: "When you're 25 and they call for another take, you say, 'Yeah, whatever, great'. At 30 it's, 'Um, yeah, I'm good, let's go.' At 35, 'Um OK, let me know when you're rolling.'
"Now, as I'm going towards 40, I know what I can do, and I know what I should let someone else do. I'm a little wiser about that, so the stunts that were really dangerous were saved for the last week."
Brendan also promised that the new Mummy adventure, titled Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, will be more exciting than 2001 sequel The Mummy Returns.
He explained: "With the second one, they said. 'Quick, do another Mummy movie.' So we were like, 'OK, let's remake the first one.' But with the third one, we tried something new."
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is released next month.
