Justin Timberlake hosted the 2008 ESPY Awards earlier this month.

J.T is about to bring “SexyBack” to the Oscars.

Bosses at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences were left so impressed with Justin Timberlake’s laugh out loud hijinks as the Master of Ceremonies for ESPN’s 2008 ESPY Awards, they’re convinced the Grammy-winning former boy bander can save the next Academy Awards from the event’s recent succession of sagging ratings.


“They think Justin can reel in young viewers and make the show much more exciting,” an Academy snitch reveals to the National Enquirer. “Justin’s more than a singer-he’s a song-and-dance man…Justin does it all and he knows how to work a star-studded audience. Our first question was, Can we get him?”

So far, the chances of seeing Justin at the 2009 Oscars looks promising.

Justin loves the idea, the tabloid writes.

Oscar heads have also reached out to Emmy-nominated comedienne Tina Fey, who could take over hosting duties on Oscar night if talks fall through with the notoriously temperamental Timberlake.

    Just when i thought Oscars were getting a little better they keep suprising me ..that's the worst idea for a host in the history of award show .. if they are trying to get attention from younger ppl why wont they just nominate comedies .. OMG .. Justin Timberlake .. ARE YOU SERIOUS .. i dont believe until i see .. SERIOUSLY ?!?!?!

    I think that would be a good idea...they need to go into a new direction. I think when they constantly have comedian after comedian..it's like they're trying to hard to get viewers. I don't know. I think Justin would be a good choice..I mean he's popular, he's young..and he could probably crack a few jokes without making it too Joke afetr joke after joke...that aren't very funny. Like remember when Ellen DeGeneres was vacuuming a carpet..what was up with that??!!

    I think the Oscars are done for, they are so boring! Justin might be able to make it slightly better but I think, if Heath is not nominated that will mean no one will be interested ever again (best performance of the year not being nominated). The Oscars are so overated, I would rather win an MTV movie award simply because at the Oscars they always pick the crappiest films. No one good ever performs hopefully will sing the line "I'm bringing sexyback, yeah, them other mother £uckers don't know how to act"! I would so laugh, America is too strict on swearing! Too much swearing isn't funny but a little but is ok. If you know who Jonathan Ross, he does it perfectly!
