Robert Downey Jr. Disses The Dark Knight, Tells DC...

I did not see Iron Man but I see The Dark Knight and all I have to say is that anything is better than TDK.

The Dark Knight is a great movie but would it have been as good without Heath ledger performance/death?? Iron Man was great because it was just a bad ass comic movie that stayed true to it's origins. It did so well because it was like watching a child (stark) playing with a cool toy (Iron Man). This actually could be a good thing maybe Iron Man 2 will try to be better than TDK. TDK had a following because of it's re-invention in Batman Begins. What if Iron Man 2 has the same due to Iron Man's following??

ha ha I still haven't seen the dark knight and with all the studio hype trying to get the people to help it beat titanic,fuck them.come on people, you think warner brothers is gonna give you something if they beat 600 million.I hope tropic thunder and mirrors make tdk go down to 3rd.

Way to go Downey Jr.! Fuck DC comics indeed! I'll admite that TDK is the best of the DC movies, but still that isn't saying much! But what is saying much is that Iron Man is the best of the Marvel movies and that beats the shit out of The Dark Knight!!!

First of all, Iron Man and Batman come from different "comic book worlds". Iron Man is a great movie and The Dark Knight too. One made more money than the other but for reasons that are not meant to diminish the other. Iron Man is a feel-good movie about a bad ass superhero and it's the first one made about the character. We've been seeing Batman in the big screen for about 20 years and we've seen the character over and over again. The Dark Knight offers a whole new view of Batman, his beginnings and his world; a new depth. Plus, Heath Ledger's gave it notoriousness. For me both movies are great and I would see it's sequels happily. I don't get why people have to "diss" anything. Entertainment is entertainment and both movies offered something new and different to the genre which is something we can all be happy about.

The Dark Knight is the best movie ever. Heath Ledger did such an awesome job. Robert Downey Jr might just be saying that about the Dark Knight because his movie(Iron Man) didnt do as good, and didnt make as much money.

in my opinion, iron man was better than the dark knight. and yes i adore robert downey jr, but thats not what makes me 'side with him'. maybe it was because im not enough of an intellectual, but there was definately something about the dark knight that made it less enjoyable for me than iron man.

The fact that he said; ‘That’s not my idea of what I want to see in a movie.' It is not his story telling of this film, it is the directors. And who cares if he did not get it. Him and a lot of others did not, so we have to say he is right to say that it is fucked up?? I'm sorry, but even someone without a college degree could adventually get the meaning by the end of the movie.
Yes a lot did happen all at once in one point, and felt that some things could have been cut out, but TDK was a tell of a dark character, unlike Iron Man which was not so dark.

RDJ is an ex-alcoholic child star, and just as obnoxious as ever. He's one of those Hollywood idiots that is contributing to the delinquency of America by turning every good movie idea out there into a money making sequel-fest. Have you heard about his ideas for the upcoming Guy Ritchie/Sherlock Holmes movie which he is staring in? He wants it to be an entertaining little action-adventure movie with no darkness and no brain. Argh!!!It sounds like speed racer all over again! Lucky thing Guy Ritchie is in charge. All of his movies have good wit,depth,smart screen plays, and twistedly funny violence.RDJ doesn't even look like Holmes! But he's a good actor and will probably pull it off.

This is coming from a guy who took drugs, drank, smoked etc. No wonder he can't understand ... I don't think Amy Winehouse quite got it either! DC has always been the better superhero company, It's characters are far more believable than marvels. In marvel they very rarely want to be superhero and on that note, I stop believing! Downey needs to see this movie again, maybe rack it up to the highest grossing movie ever, he is clearly missing the point but watch how Marvel movies will change because of the Dark Knight! Notice how he also avoids mentioning Heath's performance because he cannot fault it, none of his performances even get near Heaths!
