In a side-splittingly comedic take on life in middle management hell, Academy Award nominee John C. Reilly and Seann William Scott go head-to-head as they vie for a single coveted management position at a local grocery store in THE PROMOTION, earning a hard-fought raise onto DVD September 2nd from Genius Products and The Weinstein Company.
When a new grocery store opens in suburban Chicago, assistant manager Doug (Scott) relishes the opportunity to take his career to the next level. Richard (Reilly), a transplant from Quebec, has marked the position for his own – and what follows is round after round of mischievous pranks, as each fights their way for the ranking position.
THE PROMOTION also stars Emmy nominees Jenna Fischer and Lili Taylor as the twosome’s wives, and also features a cameo by Jason Bateman. An official selection of the 2008 SXSW Film Festival that also marks the feature film directorial debut of writer Steve Conrad, who also penned the film.
