It seems average box office returns can't keep a good Furyan warrior down. The Pitch Black spin-off The Chronicles of Riddick was the first of a planned trilogy based on the warrior played by Vin Diesel but poor box office returns in 2004 cast doubt on whether we would be seeing the character again. The film had a $105 mil budget and wound up only grossing $115.8 mil worldwide. Well, apparently, that's not stopping writer David Twohy from planning out the story for the next two sequels, reports Vin Diesel to MTV. The only question at the moment is how they go about producing the next two sequels.
"David Twohy right now is writing the scripts. The only question is whether we take a page from the 'Lord of the Rings' guys and try to shoot the two chapters at the same time.
