PSH Is No Penguin, Thank You Very Much

Despite what you may have heard in the press or from a belligerent Michael Caine, Philip Seymour Hoffman is not signed on to star in the next 'Batman' movie.
Speaking to MTV News during the Toronto Film Festival, Oscar-winner Hoffman said the following when asked about his possible turn as The Penguin: "No one has talked to me about it ever ? never ... It happened, like, five years ago, too. It was a rumor back then and it's still a rumor. [laughs] It's just in the press. It's funny."
While the rumors have been kicked around for quite some time, comments by Michael Caine stirred things up again. Caine, who plays Alfred the butler in the 'Batman' movies, said that Hoffman and Johnny Depp were going to be The Penguin and The Riddler respectively in the next movie. How does he know this?
