A poster for the upcoming Disney Digital 3D version of the animated "Up" movie has been released, featuring a house being carried to the sky by a large number of balloons.
Official plot summary: Carl Fredricksen spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. "Up" takes audiences on a thrilling journey where the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains and jungle creatures.
The film is directed by Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc.) and co-directed by Bob Peterson. The voices are provided by Ed Asner, Christopher Plummer, John Ratzenberger and Jordan Nagai. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 29th, 2009 in Disney Digital 3-D.
