To His Knowledge, Efron Not In Pirates 4

Well, we can scratch at least one Pirates of the Caribbean 4 rumor off the list. Zac Efron, presumably doing press for this weekend's High School Musical 3, told MTV News that he had never been approached for a role in the fourth film, rumored to be the son of Will and Elizabeth.

“No one has talked to me about it," he told them. “I didn’t even know [about it].” But the star is also not dumb enough to turn down a paycheck, so he added “[But] cross your fingers for me guys!” I mean, would anyone, especially someone who has made a fortune off Disney, actually turn down a role in the movie?

The Pirates 4 rumor mill probably won't stop until there's someone claiming Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell will star in it, but at least we can take Zac Efron out of the mess... for now.
