Michael Madsen has been hospitalised after collapsing from exhaustion.
The Reservoir Dogs actor broke down after exiting a flight in Los Angeles on Monday.
The star's spokeswoman blamed the collapse on a particular demanding period of Madsen's career. "Michael just got off a plane from overseas after a gruelling work schedule," she explained. "He was suffering from food poisoning and extreme exhaustion and basically collapsed."
The spokeswoman added: "He is resting now with his family by his side."
Earlier this year, the actor was taken to hospital following a confrontation with a female companion at a London hotel.
