Set Photos: Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law in "Sherlock Holmes"599

TheBadAndUgly were able to snap a few new photos from the set of the upcoming "Sherlock Holmes" movie, which is currently shooting in Manchester, England. The photos are of Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man) as the title character, Jude Law as Dr. Watson and director Guy Ritchie (Snatch, RocknRolla).
The film will incorporate the classic tales written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, as well as the comic book "Sherlock Holmes." Jude Law will play Watson, the super-sleuth's sidekick. Studio is still casting some of the principal roles, including the villain, Blackwood.
The expected 2010 Warner release will be set in the olden days, said Ritchie, but the emphasis will be as much on Holmes' physical prowess as it is on his keen powers of deduction. "His intellect was as much of a curse as it was a blessing," he says. "He was a deeply layered character."
