Yes, we can. That was the motto of president-elect Barack Obama during his stirring and historical presidential run. Yes, we can change our country. Yes, we can fight the good fight and win. Yes, we can uncover the truth. In many ways, this spirit of the passionate pursuit of change is imbued within Ron Howard's Frost/Nixon, a film depicting the real-life interviews between British talk show host David Frost and former U.S. president Richard M. Nixon, during which Frost and his team of reporters tried to get a confession out of the former Commander-in-Chief about his involvement in the cover-up of Watergate. Written by Peter Morgan based on his play, Frost/Nixon is highlighted by superb performances by leads Michael Sheen and Frank Langella and will find relevance with audiences due to America's changing political tide. However, it lacks the timelessness, overarching resonance, and emotional intimacy that is commonplace with Best Picture Academy Award-winners.
