‘Harry Potter’ Star Emma Watson ‘Intrigued’ For ‘Deathly Hallows’ Split

It’s been hard to be a Harry Potter fan this year. Not only was the next installment “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” delayed until next summer, we were also shocked by the decision to split the final film, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” into two movies. It feels like we might be waiting for the cinematic finale longer than we waited for the book.

The split didn’t just surprise fans – it was unexpected to the film’s cast as well. When MTV spoke to Emma Watson (read her full Potter-filled interview here), we asked her if she could update us on how the film will be divided. “I don’t know. I am as intrigued as you are. I am waiting at the moment to receive the script. It’s a tough call. I’m sure it will be some cruel cliffhanger.”

The delays of the next three films means that Watson will be saying a long goodbye to Hermione Granger – but she is emotional when it comes to leaving the character behind. “It’s really mixed feelings. It will be bittersweet. It will be very scary because it’s been such a massive part of my life. It will have been nearly over a decade that I’d been playing Hermione. It’ll be tough but I’ll be ready to go I think. I’ll be ready to take on other projects. It will be exciting.”

Now that you’ve heard Emma’s thoughts, tell us your own. Do you think it was a good idea to split “Deathly Hallows” into two films? Why or why not?

I think it's a good idea, though we have to wait like so long again.. years to have HP to be completed, but i can assure you it's gonna be legend! :)

Splitting it made it so that they don't have to leave a bunch of important stuff out but it also means a longer wait for them, which totally sucks.

Splitting the movie ensured that they could produce a quality movie. (I hope)

To really make it good, they had to split it. There was just too much stuff that couldn't be left out or the movie would suffer.

I think that splitting it up is a good idea. It allows more time to spent on crucial moments in the book. But, I also realllyyyyy hate the lonnggggg wait for the two parts. By the time the second part will come out, most people will have forgotten what happened! NOT GOOD!

Yeah I know, I want to see like a part 1 and 2 DVD of it. We saw Harry Potter 5 one movie and that's the longest book, not the seventh!!

Ok, I think it's kinda a good Idea but not really. I say that because last I heard that the were gonna include everythig from the book from las time I heard on this last Potter film. But, What can be a cool Idea is to take this film and try to make it where they can put it into one film insted of spliting it in to parts.

That's what I think of it and how they could do this Potter film.
