About two weeks ago we reported that the upcoming "The Wolfman" movie, starring Benicio Del Toro in the title role, might end up being pushed back till next fall, instead of the previously scheduled April 3rd release date. That turned out to be true, as Universal Pictures announces that the movie will now appear in theaters on November 6th, a full seven months later.
Based on the 1941 classic of the same name, "The Wolfman" tells of Lawrence Talbot, an actor (Del Toro) who returns to the home of his estranged father (Anthony Hopkins) after the death of his brother. Familiar awkwardness becomes the least of his problems when he is attacked and bitten by a wolf and quickly takes on hairy, toothy qualities whenever the moon rises.
"Wolfman" is directed by Joe Johnston (Jurassic Park 3), who has been recently announced as the helmer of Marvel's "The First Avenger: Captain America."
