Richard Attenborough is in a stable condition after suffering a fall at his home.
The 85-year-old actor and director is recovering at St George's Hospital in Tooting, reports the BBC.
Lord Attenborough was due to unveil a plaque in honour of actress Celia Johnson on Thursday night, but had to pull out of the London ceremony following the accident.
A hospital spokesman said: "Richard Attenborough suffered a fall at his home and is receiving care at St George's Hospital. He is currently in a stable condition."
