Bill Nighy Eager To Sail Again For ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 4’

The announcement that there was to be a fourth “Pirates of the Caribbean” installment took no one by surprise. It was pretty much a given when Captain Jack Sparrow unrolled the map to the Fountain of Youth, and set off in pursuit of Captain Barbossa and the Black Pearl.

They may have to keep a weather eye on the horizon because if Bill Nighy has his way, Davy Jones will weigh anchor, and be sailing right behind them.

“I am technically dead but then again, who cares?” Nighy said to MTV News. “Everybody dies in the pirates movies. They killed Johnny [Depp] and Geoffrey [Rush]. Death is not permanent in the pirate world. I have a serious desire to come back.”

Nighy didn’t say whether he would like to return with or without Jones’ tentacles – but since he spent two films buried under CG effects, wouldn’t it be cool to see him without?

Casting buzz has been relatively scarce on the fourth Pirates, but a very persistent rumor has Russell Brand joining the Sparrow clan as Jack’s brother. We asked Nighy if there was any truth to the story, but the actor shrugged it off as rumor. “No, I didn’t hear that. I don’t think there’s any more news at this point other than that there will be another Pirates movie.”

    At first installment, i wanted to see it for orlando bloom. Now i don't care whether he is in it or not, as long as Captain Jack Sparrow continues. He is ULTIMATE.

    DUH!!!! How could Pirates 3 NOT make me want to see more??? I am SO ecsatic that Bill Nighy wants to come back as Davy Jones! I was one of the people that was thinking at the end of the third movie "Davy Jones isn't dead! He's just temporarily on hold. He's only at the bottom of the ocean. That isn't going to stop HIM from coming back!" I agree with Bill Nighy that death in the Pirates movies is NO excuse to stop a character's story in a movie. People who think it is are crazy! PLEASE MAKE MORE PIRATES MOVIES!!! MAKE DAVY JONES COME BACK!!!!!! SOON!!!!!!!!!!!! There is SO much that they can do with Davy Jones's character! You know...Davy Jones and Calypso still need to be together for more than 5 minutes! And yes it would be so awesome to have Davy Jones tentacleless. I mean he looks good either way lol but I'm SURE Bill Nighy would like to have his face free of those motion capture dots.

    At world's end did leave me want to watch more of Pirates of the Carribean...i luv luv Pirates of the Carribean soooooooooooooooo much...there is action, comedy and love trouble...wat more do u want from such movie

    Pirates were amazing-dont care for orlando bloom- i really wanted elizebeth and jack to get together xD i do think nighy should be brought back without CGI- it would be pretty awsoume to see the true man hiding under those tentacles. I hope 4th movie explains what ever happened to calypso. haha i really wanna see jacks brother. I also wanna see jack fall in love-and him risking everything for her-would be nice to see some un selfishness from the naughty but very sexy captain jack sparrow ^.^ go johhny depp!!!!!!!

    I'm probly not going to see this one becasuse I want to see them bring back Orlado bloom and Keira Knightly back but other than that I love the other 3 just the way they are

    Im sure they can do a great storyline without Orlando and Keira in the way.Hopefully they do bring back Nighy he was an awesome character.

    I would LOVE to see Nighy come back, but without the CGI. Maybe Davy Jones is happy that Orlando Bloom's character took over his crew for him. Or maybe he'd want revenge against him and Sparrow? And Calypso?
