I know everyone’s really getting sick of Batman rumors, but this one doesn’t come from a British newspaper or a half-assed blog. It comes from the hard-working folks at Moviehole, where they’re not prone to leading their readers astray.

According to MH’s Clint, there’s a chance, just a chance mind you, that both Joker and Two-Face may show up in the next Batman. Earlier this morning we told you that Aaron Eckhart is already softening on his “Two-Face is dead” stance, and while Heath Ledger is gone that doesn’t mean someone else couldn’t play the Joker character. Word was that before Ledger’s death their plan was to carry the character over to the next film anyway. As brilliant as Ledger was and as tragic his death, the character really is bigger than a single performance.

This is by no means a certain thing. MH’s report merely indicates that it’s an idea being discussed internally over at Warner Brothers. If you’re a fan of the Joker as a character, it’s nice to know his return may no longer be considered an impossibility.

    What? Let's just pop in another major villain and a minor villain again because they did it very well done in The Dark Knight. Two-Face at best shouldn't be talked about much anymore( even though I love that character! )and yeah Joker should be at most referenced.

    TDK made nearly a billion dollars and its stands in 4th place in the all time worldwide box-office.Domesticly it was on the right track to beat Titanic but it failed.So with that kind of money im pretty sure that the ppl in Warner Bros will push for an other batman sequel.It was said that Christopher Nolan,Chriantian bale,Micheal Cane and gary Oldman signed on for a troligy.Chris and david Goyer gave a hint for the sequel,"Who were the five guys that Two-face killed in the movie?" and apparently that was saying too much.I know that Heath did an exellent performance with the Joker but they should seperate the Joker from Heath.The Joker is too big just too put aside.

    the funeral service could've been a cover up; remember, in one of the comics that inspired Dark Knight, Two-Face fell off a large cliff, appeared to be dead, but then came back saying "Harvey Dent is dead - Two Face is now alive". so it's possible he's still kickin'.
    as for Joker, i don't think he'll come back. sure, maybe the studio heads think the character is bigger than the performance, but i don't think they'll find ANY actor willing to step into Ledger's shoes, and i doubt Nolan would want that sort of automatic negative comparison to happen in his film.

    um, they had FRICKEN MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR HARVEY AT THE END OF TDK!!!!! as for the Joker I ABSOLUTELY ADORE! heaths take!!! if some one WOULD HAPPEN to get the joker character up and running again i would like to someone to do a take on the Joker like Mark Hamlins in the animated series I WILL NEVER LET GO OF HEATHS JOKER!!!!! he will always be FIRST AND FORMOST in my mind.

    I realy know that Chris Nolan is writing the 3rd and final part of this Batman trilogy, but as I know, rumors keeps being rumors, and like that thing says: "I dont believe a thing until I see it", so, Aaron was laughing on that video on the Golden Globes and maybe he knows he will come back, even if his in coma or dead. And the Joker, maybe does a cameo in the cell, but hey, what about CGI effects and technology? They could use Heath's face for that! Even look for a stunt double or someone who looks like him, that should work. Anyway, theirs no villains anounced and their is no plot yet, so let the time decide and we just need to wait and live life like anyone else, deal?
