Billy Burke wants Dakota Fanning to star in Twilight sequel New Moon.

The actor - who plays Charlie Swan in the flick - believes Fanning would be perfect for a role in the second film based on the books by author Stephenie Meyer.

He says, "I would love to have Dakota Fanning in the movie.

"She's one of the most talented young actors that's come around in ages."

Of his costar Kristen Stewart, Burke, 42, adds: "We get along in this weird ethereal way that I haven't gotten along with any costar before.

"She brings something that makes me want to go to work."

Fanning, 15 - who has been tipped to play Volturi vampire Jane - recently said it was "definitely a possibility" that she'd star in New Moon.

"It's not 100 percent yet set in stone but it's definitely not totally untrue or a rumor," she dished. "It's definitely a possibility and I think it would be really, really fun to be a part of."

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner reprise their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black, respectively, for New Moon.

    dude, dakota fanning is a very talented acteress..i dont know about da whole jane part in new moon tho..i think that jane shood b shorter and dakota is a little too tall......but thats it
    just to comment about the last 2 comments. you are both sort of wrong..and rite. but jane is supposed to look harmless and freindly but is pure evil on da inside.and she uses her wicked awesome suffering power from her evil mind........

    HAH! i thought that was the part Madonna wanted!well my opinion: i dont like the idea of either of them. jane is supposed 2 be seductive and alluring,(and as much as madonna with her half a century would like to think)something both of them are not. i think they shud hav a whole new person 2 play jane, someone who hasnt made it big yet so there are no prejudices about earlier roles.like wat they did for pattinson...Twilght has opened many doors for him to be sure.

  • If she's serious, and Summit is serious, she should be willing to accept a dock in her pay. Twilight had a $38 million budget from what I heard, and New Moon only has a $50 million budget.
