Disney has announced plans for a fourth installment of the wildly popular High School Musical franchise.

The plot of the new movie, which begins production later this year, follows a love story and the cross-town rivalry between a classic love triangle set against the cross-town rivalry between the East High Wildcats and West High Knights,” according to a press release.

The new music and dance-filled movie, complete with a new cast of characters, will debut on the Disney Channel in 2010.

  • Sounds like an updated re-make of West Side Story to me just with the popular HSM name attached with a new cast mmm maybe but HSM is not HSM without Zac,Vanessa,Ashley, Corbin or the rest,maybe they should leave HSM where it ended with a bang ..and move onto something brand new...

  • im not much of a fan of the first three (but i dont hate them) but why?
    they shouldnt make a fourth, espeically with new characters. it wont work.
