Rupert Grint, best known for his role as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise and winning the Celebrity Love Awards of 2007 on our website, is having an exciting year, with no less than three movies released in 2009: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Cherrybomb (a gritty Irish indie thriller), and Wild Target (a remake of the 1993 French comedy Cible Emouvante.)
All three movies have been making headlines recently. Cherrybomb has already been screened at Berlin and Dublin film festivals, and it is being shown next on March 30th and April 1st at the Jameson Belfast International Film Festival.
As for Wild Target, it has just been announced by Variety that the movie (directed by Jonathan Lynn, starring Bill Nighy, Emily Blunt, Rupert Grint, Rupert Everett, Martin Freeman, Gregor Fisher, and Eileen Atkins) will be "available for delivery" in July 2009. We are assuming this means that final editing will be complete and that it will be ready to be sold to distributors.
