LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Aaron Eckhart is in talks to play Nicole Kidman's husband in " Rabbit Hole ," a drama about a happily married couple's unexpected tragedy.
Eckhart's character tries to hold on to the memory of his dead son while dealing with the emotional coldness of his wife. David Lindsay-Abaire adapted from his own stage play.
John Cameron Mitchell , the star, writer and director of " Hedwig and the Angry Inch ," will direct for Fox Searchlight .
Eckhart played Harvey Dent /"Two-Face" in " The Dark Knight ." He returns to theaters in September with "Brand New Day," starring Jennifer Aniston .
