Michael Caine says only death will stop him from reprising his role as Alfred the butler in another Batman movie.
The veteran British actor, 76, is waiting in the wings for director Chris Nolan to give him a call to star in a sequel to hit movie The Dark Knight in which he played the faithful aide to Christian Bale's Batman and Bruce Wayne.
He says, "If they do another, I'll probably be the butler.
"I just hope I'm still alive. When Michael Gough, who played Alfred before me, last played Alfred he was 84 so there's time."
And Caine believes The Riddler will be cast as Batman's next foe but says whoever gets the part will face a huge challenge to live up to the late Heath Ledger's Joker. "It was a tough act to follow anybody who did Joker after Jack Nicholson. Now Heath is THE Joker but we'll see."
