Keira Knightley has admitted that she does not enjoy drinking beer, despite a number of attempts to get used to it.
The actress told Time Out New York that she likes the idea of beer more than the beverage itself.
Knightley said: "I really, really hate beer. I tried to like it for ages and ages, and now I'm just admitting that I really don't like it. It tastes like p*** water and it makes you belch.
"I have a lot of friends that like ale, but ale is pretty ****** grim."
She added: "Occasionally if I'm in Dublin, I will have a Guinness, and I quite like one of them sometimes.
"The idea of having Mexican food and a cold beer sounds great, but I never enjoy the cold beer."
Earlier this year, Knightley claimed to be a fan of chicken tikka jalfrezi and dhingri mutter "washed down with a bottle of Cobra beer".
