Groups Team Up To Launch National MY TERRA Contest to Promote "Battle For Terra", the Film's Environmental Themes, and to Get Kids Outside!

Los Angeles, CA (April 13) - BATTLE FOR TERRA is a fantastic journey to worlds we have only dreamed of. It is a story of friendship, family, sacrifice and most importantly, the realization that all of our survival relies on our earth's precious natural resources. The film features the vocal talents of Evan Rachel Wood, Luke Wilson, Justin Long, Amanda Peet, Chris Evans, Brian Cox and Dennis Quaid and is the feature directorial debut of acclaimed short filmmaker Aristomenis Tsirbas.

"The film is timely and its powerful environmental theme underscores the limits of our planet, as well as the value of living connected to nature and to our natural resources on which all life depends," says Carey Stanton, Senior Director for Education, National Wildlife Federation.

"This is a true partnership which affords National Wildlife Federation and BATTLE FOR TERRA a platform to leverage both the unique beauty and 3-D technology of the film with the environmental theme and messages for tolerance and peace," adds Eric d'Arbeloff, Co-President of Roadside Attractions.

The MY TERRA Contest is for children in grades 3-8 and asks kids to find and write about a place in nature special to them, just like the natural world is special to Mala and Senn, two teens who live on the planet Terra. Battle for Terra brings to life another world with 3-D technology. The contest reminds families that our natural world is 3-D too. You can touch the trees, the soil and rocks, smell the plants and see amazing things in nature right outside your doorstep.
