The 56-year-old Dirty Dancing star was spotted out and about in Los Angeles looking tremendously gaunt, the result of his cancer treatment.

The National Enquirer claims that Patrick Swayze has dropped down to a mere 75 pounds during his battle against pancreatic cancer.

The actor has been working tirelessly on the television series The Beast, shooting on location in Chicago working long hours without painkillers and taking chemotherapy treatment on the weekends.

In an interview with Barbara Walters, Swayze outlined his prognosis by saying, "Five years is pretty wishful thinking. Two years seems likely if you're going to believe statistics. I want to last until they find a cure, which means I'd better get a fire under it."

    My prayers go out to Patrick and his family.My girlfriend passed away 8 years ago with the same cancer .It is hard watching what it does to your body.Keep on fighting Patrick we all love you

    Wow, yes he looks frail. My heart goes out to Patrick and his family! My husband died of lung cancer and seeing Patrick looking so thin and frail, reminds me of my husband.

    That is Patrick. And it's horrible. I completely understand his family not wanting to give information to the press. It is kind of macabre watching The Beast, which will be his last work.

    i think he should stop working. he doesnt have long left. he should be spending as much time as possible with his family and friends.
