Ron Howard has revealed that he does not plan on retiring from filmmaking anytime soon.

The Angels & Demons director said his first and last love of his life is making movies, People reports.

"I want to do this until I drop," he told AARP The Magazine . "When John Huston was directing his last movie, he was in a wheelchair and on oxygen. That's my idea of a good goal."

The 55-year-old helmer said he became entranced by films when he saw 1967’s The Graduate starring Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft, which instilled him with the desire to give movie making a try.

Howard has 28 films on his résumé and plans to add more to it.

He added: "At the end of my life, I'd rather have made another film or spent time with my family."

Howard won an Academy Award in 2002 for directing A Beautiful Mind. His latest flick, Angels & Demons, starring Tom Hanks, has been a box office box office hit worldwide
