Name a Movie That Will NEVER Be Remade

Name a Movie That Will NEVER Be Remade

My inbox, Facebook, and Twitter page were semi-flooded with messages of support and condolence when this A L I E N remake gossip hit the wires, and that's because (as anyone in the universe can tell you), it's my #1 favorite film of all time. Mainly because it's just about the perfect horror film, but also because it's a movie that helped plant me on the road of movie freakdom, and for that I'm eternally grateful. Plus it has Sigourney Weaver in her underwear.

So if a film as undeniably flawless as A L I E N can be considered for a remake, it begs the question: What movie won't they remake? Keep in mind that Psycho, Halloween, The Manchurian Candidate, and King Kong have already earned remakes, which tells me that all bets are off. Not even Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, or The Wizard of Oz are safe. Therefore, clearly, remakes are a force of pure evil.

Then again, there IS the old Shakespeare argument, the one that says "Hey, the Bard's plays have been remade over and over for centuries, and surely you wouldn't call Casablanca superior to King Lear, would you?" To which I would respond, "Good point. And no, Casablanca is definitely not superior to King Lear. But A L I E N certainly is."

In view that many good movies has been remade (The last house on the left, The hills have eyes, Halloween, etc..), I wouldn´t like to see a remake of "Ichi: The killer" that movie is a classic, I´m sick of remakes Hollywood is run off of ideas.

    Lord of The Rings
    Harry Potter
    Dark Knight
    Godfather etc

Just ones that have been hugely successful because of the cast ... you can't use the same cast 30 years later really.

    a) i've never heard of anyone who thought Sigourney Weaver in her underwear was a PLUS for a movie.
    b) SexiVixxen always posts articles she finds elsewhere - they're never her own. you get used to it, and personally i like that she's always posting new articles for us to look at.
    c) my answer to the main question is simple - NONE. any and all movie can and probably will be remade (although who ever mentioned Salo might have something there). i mean, the film industry as a business could live on for another 50-100 years (i'm predicting less than 50, though), so pretty much anything could be remade someday.
    cheers

Jesus is the joy of living....
I have found a wonderous savior,
    Jesus christ,The soul's delight,
    Every blessing of his favor
Fills my heart with hope sp bright,

Life is growing rich with beauty,
Toil has lost its weary strain,
Now a halo crowns each duty,
And I sing a glad refrain,

Jesus is the joy of living,
He's the king of life to me,
Unto him my all i'm giving,
    His forever more to be,

I will do what ever he commands me,
    Anywhere he leads I'll go,
Jesus is the joy of living,
    He's the dearest friend I know.THE END...

I hope they never remake the Wizard of Oz! That is a classic and my favorite movie and I would be devastated if they re-did it! Judy Garland was perfect as Dorothy and I wouldn't want to see anyone take her place.

I STRONGLY believe that they will never make a remake of The Sound of Music.

Salo. You'd risk your life re-making it.
