No More "Batman" for Christopher Nolan?

We previously heard that Warner Bros has a list of directors (Zack Snyder) ready to go in case Christopher Nolan decides not to return for the third "Batman" movie. And according to Batman-on-Film, the studio may have to start using that list, because Nolan has been hinting about backing out.

"The death of Heath Ledger in January of 2008 rocked Mr. Nolan hard. So hard that Chris was convinced that TDK was going to be it for him and Batman on film," an insider said, adding that the Joker was envisioned as the villain in the third film.

The source also informed the site that "(Nolan) is developing story ideas with [Jonathan Nolan] and David Goyer, but it will be until AT LEAST 2012 before we see the Caped Crusader back [in theaters]. And that is only an EARLY ESTIMATE at best right now. They are even saying it might not be until 2013."

    Me gustan las dos películas, el nuevo Batman interpretado por Nolan está cargado de emociones, es y se lo siente más humano y más allá de los efectos especiales, se ve muy real la película... Serí interesante ver otro Batman 3 con este actor.
    Me imagino que su decisión de no hacer otra película está relacionada con la muerte de su amigo.

    Nolan should comeback for the third movie, i mean he restarted the batman franchise i mean its like his baby, you don't give your baby to another directer.

    No surpise for two reasons: Inception could take a while, and Christian Bale taking on Terminator 5 in 2011 (expected year to release Batman 3). It would happen 2012 very likely release though.

    I think I will cry if he does not come back! Zack Snyder would be ok but ITS NOT NOLAN!!

    I always believed that the JOKER WAAS set to COME BACK IN FILM 3. and I see how that could have affected Nolan. Once again sooo many things could be simpler if Heath was still alive ;'(

    i totally hope that if nolan doesnt do another batman then they dont do one and for that reason im willing to wait till 2013 for it

    Well I somewhat guessed that this might happen because both Tim Burton and Joel Schumacer made two-a-piece and I think Chris Nolan will do the same two hits and I'm done bit. Hell, Zack Snyder said he would love to do a version of The Dark Knight Returns, so if he does, first day, first showing possible for me, even though I was somewhat disappointed with Watchmen

  • He would be crazy to give it up, Batman has probably grossed more fans than any other franchise now and these millions of people are going to be pi$$ed off if he just gives it up ... and they certainly arn't going to go see his other movies because they will be too mad. Trust me, these fan boys go nuts!
