Quincy Jones -- I've Lost My Little Brother

Quincy Jones -- I've Lost My Little Brother

We just received the following statement from Quincy Jones, who produced Michael Jackson's legendary "Thriller" album:

"I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words.

Divinity brought our souls together on The Wiz and allowed us to do what we were able to throughout the 80's.

To this day, the music we created together on "Off The Wall," "Thriller" and "Bad" is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all...talent, grace, professionalism and dedication.

He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever.

I've lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone

The whole world has lost a part of them. The films you watch, the music you listen to, the stars you admire ... all have generated from Michael Jackson!

If you don't think this is a big deal, just take a step back and look around you ... horror movies on the shelves, wouldn't be the same without Thriller. Every CD, what made the artist want to sing and create music? ... Michael Jackson! The clubs and parties you go to, who made it acceptable for men to dance to music? ... The King! There is so much!

He's been a part of everyones lives for near 40 years! Everyone has lost a part of their upbringing and childhood, there will certainly be a sadness across the world for many years to come. But its so surreal, that in a years time you, when you watch a MJ video, you won't even think of his death ... you will just think he's somewhere in the world just living as normal.

Long Live The Legend That Is Michael Jackson!!!!!!!!
