MTV News caught up with "300" producer Mark Canton to talk about the rumored sequel to the $210 million grossing movie. "Frank's working on something," he said, confirming an old report that Frank Miller was putting together a graphic novel that picks up immediately after the end of "300."
When asked if anyone from the old cast would return, Canton replied with a hint that Gerard Butler's King Leonidas character may be brought back from the dead. "Never assume anything," he said. "It'll be what it'll be. But if we really do it, in this case, we have a visionary creator and a visionary filmmaker."
For now, Canton is focusing on making sure that a sequel is worth pursuing. "[The key to the sequel] is about getting it right, you know. Frank is a perfectionist, and so is Zack [Snyder]. And I think they set the bar pretty high."
