In a break from his previous work, Guy Ritchie's new film is all about Londoners shooting and hitting each other. But wait! This time they're wearing bowler hats, it's called Sherlock Holmes, and it looks ace in this just-released trailer.

Look forward to more shots of literature's favourite opium addict jumping out of buildings, picking locks and surviving massive explosions. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle diehards might turn up their noses at the bare-knuckle fistfights (which have some basis in the books, actually) and full moon shades, but it does look incredibly good fun. Plus, Jude Law punches Downey Jr. in the face, so now you definitely can't miss it.

Sherlock Holmes is out here on August 26, 2009, and in the US the day before, aka not. Soon. Enough.
