X Factor judge Dannii Minogue is hoping to land roles in Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty, it has been claimed.
The Aussie singer recently flew out to Los Angeles for a week of talks with "the best from TV and film", reports suggest.
A source has now told the Daily Star: "She's very excited about breaking America. Dannii would love to get a role in one of their top shows, especially Desperate Housewives or even Ugly Betty.
"Agents know she is a popstar but thanks to YouTube, they've seen her on X Factor, Australia's Got Talent and her days on Home And Away."
It is believed that Minogue's plans for international success are being supported by her fellow X Factor panellist Cheryl Cole, who is also currently in LA.
An insider recently said: "They are planning to meet for a coffee over there to swap notes."
Minogue previously confirmed that she feels "confident" about her chances in the US.
