Vanessa Hudgens has admitted that she accidentally got her mother fired from a job.
Speaking to Parade, the High School Musical actress revealed that she used to phone her mum Gina so much at work that she was eventually told to leave.
"I was calling her way too much, because I missed her," Just Jared quotes her as saying.
"Back then, I was so shy, I did not want to leave her side. I would call her at work nonstop, to the point where she got fired. It was horrible."
The 20-year-old went on to credit her parents for helping her become an actress, saying: "[They] had Grease lying around, and I watched that and fell in love with it. It was interesting to see people moving stories along with songs - it was exciting and different."
Hudgens can next be seen in musical comedy Bandslam, which is released everywhere on August 14.
