Antonio Banderas is currently promoting "The Other Man" and is answering some questions about the continuation of the "Shrek" franchise and the "Puss in Boots" spin-off.
"It's almost ready," he said about "Shrek 4." "Jeffrey actually called me yesterday and said that they were going to watch it this morning. Then 'Puss in Boots' story is done. They finally allowed me to read the script and it's fantastic. Selma Hayek is going to be attached to it too. We are going to start recording probably February."
When asked how "Shrek 4" is compared to the first three films, Banderas said: "It's totally different. Something happens at the beginning of the story that changes the identity of all the characters. So it's almost like a new movie. The characters are different... physically... you'll see!"
We have previously heard that "Puss in Boots" will be an origin story, but Banderas revealed that the story takes place between the events of "Shrek 4" and "Shrek 5."
