AVRIL LAVIGNE split from her rocker husband because she was too young to settle down.
The Sk8ter Boi singer, 24, wed SUM 41 frontman DERYCK WHIBLEY in 2006 and were considered one of Rock's most solid couples.
However, cracks starting appearing in their marriage over the past six months and sources close to Avril revealed it was because she wasn't ready for the quiet life.
The source told People: "She married too young and she finally realized that.
"Avril realized she needs her own life and needs to explore things without him."
Another source confirmed the split was not down to Deryck wanting children or Avril dating another man amid rumours she was getting close to pal BRANDON DAVIS.
Deryck has now moved out of the couple's Bel Air pad and they are planning to divorce.
