Peter Fonda has reportedly confessed that he smoked real cannabis on the set of Easy Rider.
The 69-year-old actor told Extra that he, and co-stars Jack Nicholson and Dennis Hopper, used the drug to capture the moment that Nicholson's character experiences it for the first time.
Suggestions that the trio also tried LSD while making the 1969 film were refuted by Fonda.
"We did not take LSD, no matter what the rumours say. You can't make a movie when you're ripped like that," he said.
