Biel Talks A-Team, Original Cast Making Cameos?

No matter how much I want to, I'm finding it very difficult to hate Joe Carnahan's The A-Team. Sure, Carnahan isn't the greatest director and Jessica Biel is really nothing more than a pretty face, but something about the Neeson-Cooper-Copley-Jackson team is inexplicably exiting. It may very well be a train wreck of vast proportions, but for once I would like to get behind a TV-adaptation rather than berate it from day one (if only they weren't so bad). Jessica Biel recently spoke out about the project and, if she is to be believed, I may get to keep my pessimism at bay.

As reported by Collider, while taking questions on a panel for the upcoming Planet 51, Biel was quoted as saying that the film will attempt to strike a balance between "super cheesy or really dark," having humorous moments moments as well as dramatic and emotional ones. You know what movie also tried to do that? Smokin' Aces (Dammit. Sorry people, I'm trying). In addition to talking about the tone of the film, Biel was also quoted as saying that the film will pay homage to the original TV series, which I love her for as it gives me a perfect segue!

Following up on questions from readers, The Official Dwight Schultz Fansite has reported that Dwight Schultz, the original "Howling Mad" Murdock, has been on set in Vancouver and has been in step with his replacement, Sharlto Copley, every step of the way. According to the site, Schultz has been quoted as saying Copley's performance is "brilliant beyond words." More so, the site is also reporting that Schultz will have a cameo in the film, a la Starsky & Hutch, though it is not yet known whether Dirk Benedict or Mr. T will do the same. My sources tell me that George Peppard is inclined, but first he has to get over a slight case of deadness.
