Antonio Pitanga

Actor Antonio Pitanga appeared on the big screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Pitanga appeared in such films as "A Mulher de Todos" (1970) with Helena Ines, "Na Boca de Mundo" (1978) and the Mira Fonseca dramatic comedy "Os Pastores da Noite" (1978). He also appeared in "Chico Rei" (1980). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Joel Barcelos drama "Rio Babilonia" (1982), the Antonio Pompeo period drama "Quilombo" (1986) and "Eternamente Pagu" (1987) with Carla Camurati. Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in the comedic drama "Dede Mamata" (1988) with Guilherme Fontes and the biopic "Villa-Lobos: Uma Vida de Paixao" (2000) with Antonio Fagundes. He held additional roles in television including a part on "Lilyhammer" (Netflix, 2011-15). Most recently, Pitanga acted in the dramatic adaptation "Lula: Son of Brazil" (2012) with Rui Ricardo Diaz.
