Caption: The Hacienda
Description: The Hacienda nightclub, owned by Tony Wilson and Rob Gretton, was the centre of Manchester rave culture in the late 80s and early 90s, the first ever 'superclub'. It closed in 1997 due to huge money losses and was converted into city centre flats. The club used in the film was reconstructed in a factory and opened for one night to film the crowd scenes.
