Cameron Peter Daddo was born in Melbourne/Australia on March 7, 1965 to parents Peter & Bronwyn Daddo.
He was the second child after sister Belinda; In 1967, twin brothers Andrew & Jamie were born, followed by the youngest, Lochie, in 1970.
At only 18 months old, Cameron had his first modelling job for a calendar - dressed as a bunny at a tea-party.
When Cameron was 16, his father was transferred to the United States, and Cameron spent his Sophomore and Junior years in New Jersey.
At 18, Cameron returned to Australia to finish school.
Wanting to make a phone call from a model agency one day, he walked out with a contract.
Cameron spent the following two years making TV commercials, modelling in Japan & Europe and taking part in the famous TV show 'Star Search'.
He worked as host on the kids TV show Off The Dish, which spun off into his own show, the Cameron Daddo Show.
At 21, Cameron was hosting the game show Perfect Match, making him the youngest Prime Time TV host in Australia ever.
After a couple of years, he got tired of being a TV host, and started acting.
He quit Perfect Match, and had his first acing role in The Heroes.
Right after finishing The Heroes he started rehearsals for the very successful musical Big River, in which he played Huck Finn, awarding him a Mo-Award, the Australian equivalent of the Tonys.
Cameron's other theatre credits include I Hate Hamlet, Love Letters, the Australian Opera production of The Wizard of Oz, and The Hunting of the Snark.
In 1990, Cameron took on the lead role in "Bony," for which he won the Australian People’s Choice Award for Best Actor in a dramatic series.
He also starred in Golden Fiddles and his performance as bicycle champion Don Walker in Tracks Of Glory earned him two Logie Awards, the Australian equivalent of the Emmy Award.
In December 1991, Cameron got married to Alison Brahe, and the couple moved to the United States in 1992 to pursue their acting careers.
Cameron had his first US role in the TV movie Between Love And Hate, and then played alongside Sean Patrick Flannery in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.
The breakthrough for Cameron in Northern America came with Aaron Spelling's TV soap Models Inc. as photographer Brian Petersen.
In 1996, Cameron played Rollie Tyler, a Special Effects wizard, in FX: The Series - a character that had been portrayed before by his friend Bryan Brown in the two FX movies.
Also in 1996, Cameron's daughter Lotus was born.
After taking on a part in the Australian TV movie Witch Hunt, Cameron got the lead role as minister Daniel Cooper in the TV series Hope Island in 1999.
Cameron portrayed Jack Garrison Jr. in Anne Of Green Gables: The Continuing Story, the man who almost came between the famous Anne Shirley & Gilbert Blythe.
He had several guest appearances in shows as Andromeda, Earth: Final Conflict, The Outer Limits and Monk.
In 2000, Cameron's son River was born.
Recent film credits include Anthrax, in which Cameron had the lead role alongside Ed Begley Jr., Zebra Lounge, co-starring Stephen Baldwin and Kirsty Swanson, and Drive Time Murders.
For Riverworld, Cameron found himself in familiar territory.
Not only was it filmed in New Zealand, very close to Cameron's home Australia. He also played Sam Clemens aka Mark Twain, whose character Huck Finn Cameron had portrayed in the musical Big River.
After starring in The Incredible Mrs. Ritchie, Cameron recently joined the cast of She Spies in the second season of the show.
Besides his work as an actor, Cameron also loves to make music.
He played in bands such as The Nearly Smooth Guys and Baby James.
His solo debut album A Long Goodbye, released in 1992, reached #2 on the Australian Country Music charts.
