    Picture:
Ray Abruzzo was born and raised in Queens, New York. He began his acting career while still in high school, spending his teen years doing plays with the Middle Village Summer Theatre Workshop. He continued acting through college and went on to become a founding member of The Bond Street Theatre Coalition.

Pursuing his passion for acting, Ray moved to Los Angeles where he began working in television. After playing the recurring role of Tony "The Flying" Gianelli on LA LAW, Ray then joined the cast of DYNASTY, playing Sgt. Zorelli, Fallon's love interest. On the popular sitcom NIGHT COURT, he was Detective Tony Guiliano, boyfriend and then husband to Markie Post's Christine. Many guest star roles followed, ranging from NYPD BLUE to TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL to DOOGIE HOWSER, MD. For over six seasons, Ray has played Detective Mike McGuire on the Emmy® award winning series, THE PRACTICE.

Ray has also been active in the Los Angeles theatre. For many years he was very involved as both an actor and director at The Playwright's Kitchen Ensemble, a long running play-reading series. In the world premiere production of John Patrick Shanley's ITALIAN AMERICAN RECONCILIATION, Ray stepped in to replace Joe Pantoliano in the role of Aldo opposite Patty D'Arbanville. In Chicago and Boston, Ray starred in a one-man show, THE MALE INTELLECT: AN OXYMORON by Bob Dubac.

Life comes full circle as Ray comes back to Queens to play Little Carmine Lupertazzi on HBO hit series - THE SOPRANOS.
