    So, what happened? Those troubled bedroom eyes, that low monotone voice: American Beauty's Wes was a shoo-in to be the angst-ridden hottie of the new millennium. But in an apparent effort to evade typecasting, the hunky neighborhood weirdo got lost in a couple of doomed big-budget period pieces (The Claim, The Four Feathers) and wound up in the requisite horror flick, Soul Survivors. Most recently, he ended up not stealing scenes from Nicolas Cage in 2007's Ghost Rider as the devil's son. But there's hope yet: He romances Winona Ryder in the upcoming The Last Word.
