Schindler's List

Many critics have labelled this film the greatest film of all time! i personally agree...spielberg i believe reached the pinnacle of his filmmaking carrer with this monumental beautiful passion piece. Many scenes are completely emotionally pulverising but especially the girl in the red dress. This my film that i decided i wanted to be a filmmaker!

The High Sign
by FabioOne of Keaton's funniest shorts.
The story in a Buster Keaton short is not that important, once he starts doing those great things on screen I don't want it to end. The camera is able to see four rooms at the same time and Keaton moves from room to room, through walls and ceilings. It is all great.Hey, you should really see this!

Donkey Punch
by scott3 english girls meet 4 english lads in spain and are taken for a great time on a yaught, but things turn for the worse when one of the girls is killed during a sex act, by one of the guys, a so called donkey punch, now with the girls stuck there with the guys what could go down is any bodys business, will sides be taken, a nice little thriller, putting abunch of people on a boat and watch the results when a little murder is thrown in the mix, sides are imediatly drawn, due to the friendships, and fear strikes in, as to what is the best thing to do, with the body and aftermath, things get very paranoid to say the least, a good set up here, all charactors are well covered, the girls showing range in sexuality and eventual distress, while the lads showing a edge but simpathy, all great performances as well, and considering the location, the story and circumstances come off well, some nice deaths also,

Cinderella Man
by FabioWonderful!!!
Cinderella Man is in my opinion one of the best boxing movies ever made.
Probably because it's not all about boxing.
The story-line is revealed so artistically that as the film progresses, one actually understands what James Braddock goes through.
The fact that this is a true story makes the film look even better!
The entire cast was great but Russell Crowe and Paul Giamatti are superb.
I've lost a lot of tears on this movie.Hey, you should really see this!

Aliens
by Audrey-KimI loved "Alien". I really did. But I found myselft disappointed with "Aliens".
After floating around in space for 57 years, Ripley and Jonesy the cat are found by the company. Ripley continues to have horrible dreams about the alien. She gives her report and the company refuses to believe her because they have set up a colony there for the past 20 years without complaints. Suddenly, the company loses contact with the colony and ask Ripley to go. Ripley refuses at first, but the representative from the company assures her that they are going to destroy the creature, not study it. Which is total bull, but for some reason Ripley believes him and decides to go.
Here arises my first dissatisfaction: Ripley knew that the company was no good from the first movie, but she gets fooled by them again. It brings to mind the saying, "Shame on you if you fool me once. Shame on me if you fool me twice." However, without Ripley's consent, there'd be no movie or, at least, no movie with Sigourney Weaver and that wouldn't be as fun. Moving on.
Ripley goes with the Marines and the representative from the company. Ripley tries to warn everyone that they could be in bad trouble, but nobody really pays attention except Corporal Hicks. They arrive on the planet and find that no one is there and the colonists had set up a lab to study the aliens. The crew moves on and finds an eight-year old girl, who appears to be the sole survivor of the planet.
My second dissatisfaction with the movie: we know wihin the first ten or twenty minutes of the movie that aliens are on the planet. But we have to sit through another thirty to forty minutes of nonsense, i.e. the little girl and the disbelief of the crew, until we actually see the aliens. The pacing was almost unbearably slow for me. I was actually bored a couple of times, which never happened to me in the first movie.
So the movie progresses on...slowly...and finally a nest is found with all the colonists in it. It turns out that the alien keeps the colonists alive so they can be used as hosts to produce more aliens. So now we are dealing with hundreds of aliens, not just one. Ripley tells the commanding officer to order the crew to pull out and not to use their guns, but of course, no one listens and the aliens attack the Marines. Ripley saves those she can, but inevitably some have died.
My thrid beef: Ripley told the Marines that they could be in bad trouble and they laughed at her. Now that they find the aliens, they bitch and moan consisently throughout the movie. SHUT UP, for Christ sakes. My fourth annoyance: in the first movie, the alien's blood damn nearly ate through the ship and that was only a little bit. With hundreds of aliens, wouldn't everyone just melt and die or, at the very least, just lose arms and legs after shooting the aliens and splattering blood everywhere? Ah, the joys of plotholes.
And the movie goes on...and we find that the company is up to their old tricks (which anyone with brains or anyone that saw the first "Alien" could have guessed at the beginning of the movie) and Ripley takes care of the little girl and the aliens get in the ship and attack people...etc. etc. etc. And then comes the best part of the movie. The annoying little girl does something useful and gets kidnapped by the aliens. Therefore, Ripley has to save her (which makes me think--doesn't Ripley always have to go back and save her pets? She had to save Jonesy the cat in "Alien" and now she's saving the little girl. But I digress). And has one hell of an awesome showdown with the queen, which is like the alien on steroids due to its gigantic size. I rated the movie an extra star due these last 40 minutes.
Overall, it was mainly the pacing that was so horribly slow for the first hour or so, that turned me off this movie. I could watch (and I have) the entire movie of "Alien" again and again without feeling bored. But with "Aliens", there'd be several parts I'd definitely fast-foward through.I know most of my friends have seen this, so this is more like "sharing controls" or whatever.

Psycho
by FabioPsycho is brilliant.
Hitchcock gave this film excellent direction, and the acting is superb. Especially Anthony Perkins playing the role of Norman Bates.
The direction is excellent, from the intense facial close-ups to the distant and unusual camera angles.

Out of the Blue (Aramoana)
by scotttrue life acount of a rampage by a gunman in a small new zealand town called aramoana, the incident caused around 13 deaths which included 3 children of very young ages, shot to death, the film grittinly tells the lead up and eventual rampage and police hunt amunst the dead of night, the film is straight and to the point, does not give a easy time for the real life charactor who went crazy, and, and the shootings them selves are given reality which is needed, no heros here and no cowardly vivtims for the sake of it, all seems genuin, a simple but inportant aproach to a real and devastating story

Il Sorpasso (The Easy Life)
by Fabio"Non bevi, non fumi, non sai nemmeno guidare la macchina?ma ti godi la vita tu?"
Vittorio Gassman is perfect in the role of Bruno. Great cast especially the supporting role of J. L. Trintignant. Adorable and very sexy the beautiful teenager daughter of Bruno played by Catherine Spaak. Il Sorpasso depicted in great reality the sweet bitter life of the 60's in Italy.
The perfect road movie, filled with deep characters and great locations between Rome the Tuscan Riviera.
This film is filled with humor and sadness.
Mamma mia quanto è bella Catherine Spaak!Hey, you should really see this!

Uccellacci e uccellini (Hawks and Sparrows)
This is a very good film by Pier Paolo Pasolini.
This movie has three diferent parts, and there are lots of hidden things that have an important message.
We can say that this movie is like a fable.
And it's deliciously acted by Toto and Ninetto Davoli.
Ma quanto è brutto Davoli??Hey, you should really see this!

The Dark Knight
by JosephWOW i loved it so much, loved it. Truly intense and disturbing. The best Joker ever. I feel this was the way that Joker was always meant to be portrayed. Warped and quite terrifying. There were so many great lines, they are swarming around in my head. I must see it again. There isn't enough words to describe it at the moment and I don't want to say too much but wow. Excellent piece of work. Can't wait to see what other tricks Christopher Nolan has up his sleeves for the next one.
Hey, this is the year's must see!
