Many critics have labelled this film the greatest film of all time! i personally agree...spielberg i believe reached the pinnacle of his filmmaking carrer with this monumental beautiful passion piece. Many scenes are completely emotionally pulverising but especially the girl in the red dress. This my film that i decided i wanted to be a filmmaker!

The greatest debut film of any filmmaker, let alone an australian! This is an intense film but a powerful! Not for the faint hearted, never a film has captured the horrors of high school like this, it deals with really hard issues!!!

I read a quote during the release this film which was 'Visually one of the most amazing achievements ever captured on film' Bold statement but this film is eveything you go 2 c films 4! It is exciting, adventurious, touching and all in all epic! 192 mins of sheer joy and excitement an instant classic and can tak itz rightful place among such classics as gone with the wind and lawrence of arabia !!!

A study was made of films that hav been released and hav lasting affect over time...this film was hands down number 1!!! it has made 3.6 billion since itz initial release december 1939. countless references in magazines, books, other films and of course the highest honour... 2 b made fun of in the simpsons!! This film is timeless both vivien and gable are sensations...so many people labelled gable as only a playboy actor but there are scenes in this film that send shivers down my spine....and i jst love scarlett's spirit she is a spitfire no 1 can stop her!!! only downside of this film is that david o'selznik was involved..other this is pure fimmaking beauty it don't get much beta than this!!!!!!

it deserved all 11 oscars!!! the first epic period film that have such depth they were great powerful charcters. dis film is epic in so many ways a beautiful film to watch william wyler a sheer genius

da greatest sequel eva, it took what we loved from no. 1 and turn up a few 1000 notch. the intalacing of past and present is sublime, Acting, visuals, story is second 2 none!! U keeps friends close but ur enemies even closer wat a line, dat kiss of death at new years perfect filmmaking

dis is a film like no otha, it shockingly powerful!!! very bizare art direction and screenplay, but it worked the ending was ironically brillant, very unique there is and neva will b anyfing like it, it distribing but powerful oh yes i have no doubt about that

dis film came out of nowere and blew me away, dreyfuss was sensational and in my opinnion one of the most touching endings i have eva seen in a film, hell i was in tears, even dough it was a simple story i adore it, although best picture went 2 bravehart and dat was a powerful film, i don't blieve it wood b unjust if dis film won it, i completely loved it

a powerful film it blew me wawy wen i saw it!!!, in my opinnion it one of da most underrated films of all time, correct me if i'm worng but i blieve dis film didn't even get a oscars nomination 4 best film but i guess shakespear in luv is beta..NOT!!! i luv da theme of transformation and redemption wen it is done well and it was done well in dis, tony kaye u created an urban classic, norton was brillant alongside richard dreyfuss norton is one of most underrated actors in hollywood, u mite not recieve fame for ur talent but at least dese guys no dey got it!!!

Epic in every sense of the word, however it's weak screenplay must be adressed but this film captured the intensity and terror of that cold night. A film that will be cemented in film history books

hands down the greatest silent film of all time....there must b a remake but a good remake mind you

2 words 2 sum up dis film 'Disturbingly Powerful' acting was great, pace was slow but i fink dat was appropiate, predictable endn but i guess we all knew blood had to 2 split for dat forbidden relationship, and i luv ang lee's choice for heath to look at the blood stained jacket, great symbloic direction if it doen't best film hell i don't no ill go mad!!!

didn't c it till afta da oscars wondered wat da fuss was bout saw it and i undastood, it is instant classic, i feel like clint is like wine his tastes gets beat ova the years, it has taken a while but clint has blossomed as a director!!, kudos 2 freeman and swank u were marvelous!

jst taging bhind the godfathers as da greatest gangsta film of all time, great dialogue V.O was applied perfectly, and 2 me marty made u lov da bad guys, by da end of it hell i fort dey were a bunch of goodfellas. ray liota was xcellent!!!
