| Avatar - PG-13 | quite possibly the best film I've ever seen. visually amazing, tight story, good acting, everything. mainly the visuals though and the world of pandora, created from nothing into a dream world. immense, I f**king loved it | December 19, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ice Age 3) - PG | I was actually pretty impressed with this. despite going on for a bit too long, and the numerous obvious attempts at making this more of a kiddy film, I actually found it really entertaining. fair enough, as a professional film it's not great, but entertainment wise I was pretty hooked. so yeah, good film. long, but entertaining. | December 6, 2009 | N/A | |||

| Harry Brown - Unrated |
one of the more disturbing British films I've ever seen, but it was very good. watching the druggies do their stuff made me gag, and watching the kids and gangs kind of made me ashamed of living in the same country as them. this film is particularly good though because it built up its storyline. it takes it steady, one step at a time, explaining the story. what I also found was how realistic it was. the actions taken by the characters, who were outstanding in the way they've been castes and acted by the way, were accurate and what wouldve happened. that's the thing, this isn't some high gloss hollywood film that runs on a manufactured story. this is a story that could easily be extremely real. I can happily say that if this is Michael Caine's last film, this is one he can be proud of saying farewell with. the film just... worked. |

| Monsters vs. Aliens - PG | very very very average. it flops so much with it's writing, it's plainly for kids so it's bound to be a bit cheesy so not really my thing. the only voice I enjoyed was Seth Rogen as B.O.B, so suited the part and laughed out loud at him sometimes. animation was also a huge plus. story though was a bit crap, same old person-thinks-they-can't-save-the-world-then-suddenly-they-can kind of thing. still. was alright. not one of my faves though. | October 26, 2009 | N/A | |||

| Fantastic Mr. Fox - PG | October 20, 2009 | N/A | ||||
| Bolt - PG | surprisingly good film actually. entertaining, unique, and well written and animated. I didn't like Miley Cyrus' voice, which seemed so fake. however the hamster was such a lovable character, and Bolt's puppy face wouldve made kids going into flutters. even for teens like me it's good. i did think that there were some similarities to Toy Story 2, what with thinking that their owners would eventually leave them, with the rejected one getting the same owner, reminded me of Jessie and Woody. however, it's still a strong script, a strong film, and a strong classic. | October 17, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Invention of Lying - PG-13 |
no. you know this theory that everybody will speak the truth and are no lies? it's a good idea, but it's not done very well. the fact that it seems as if everybody has to actually say the truth is too much, making unnecessary comments when not even asked to do so. this ruined the film from the beginning. plus, if this film was successful, it wouldve been so so controversial with christians. it's basically saying that Christianity was a great big lie. fair enough, it probably is, but hey. that's the problem with the film, it goes from being a film about people telling the truth, to christianity is a great big lie. what's the point? and then there's the entertainment value. there isn't any. yeah, it raises a few chuckles, but there's nothing anywhere near a proper laugh. however, it's a sweet film. slightly. that's why it gets a star. other than that, it's unfortunatly extremely forgettable. |

| Up - PG | one of the extremely rare films that made me shed a tear in my 3D glasses. heartbreaking yet fulfilling. loved every second :] | October 11, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Toy Story - G | Great when i was a kid | October 4, 2009 | N/A | |||
| You Don't Mess with the Zohan - PG-13 | seriously, no. found a few bits funny, but actors were some of the worst I've ever seen. particular business leader guy trying to create the mall, it is shit. he is shit. everyone in this film is shit. goes on way too long. rubbish. | October 3, 2009 | N/A | |||
| District 9 - R | unique plotline, great graphics, extremely unique creatures. what's not to like? you can tell peter jackson made this really, it is a great film, many twists, and very accurate on what would happen in slums. this is one of those unique films that changes the definition of a certain genre; in this case, films about aliens. I did think the ending was a bit empty, but that was it. it was very entertaining, enjoyed it :] | September 27, 2009 | N/A | |||

| Ghost Town - PG-13 | ricky gervais really does pull it off as an actor. the film in general was very funny parts, laugh out loud moments are a-plenty. as for the film itself, some great writing and uplifting lessons give this film that sort of charm that other films just can't grab. it's a great story, and nothing less. | September 6, 2009 | N/A | |||
| My Best Friend's Girl - R | some comedy moments, but that's it. Dane cook is ok, but mostly is disappointing. bad acting throughout most of it, especially from the guy from american pie, and goes on for way too long. at least it's not as predictable as I thought it was. unfortunatly I was so bored that I didn't reach the end of the film. | September 5, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs - PG | September 3, 2009 | N/A | ||||
| Inglourious Basterds - R |
I liked it. although mostly the film was filled with huge amount of boring talking, it got quite frustrating waiting for something to happen. however, the beauty of the film is that the entertaining bits are actually worth waiting for. as gruesome as it was in parts, it was still good. however. chapter 2. the introduction of Brad Pitt. oh dear. the accent is just embarassing. his acting wasn't great neither. however, during the film Brad Pitt did improve, his character became better as the film went along. I liked the other characters, and I loved the fantasy ending, another plus point. another beauty of this film was I thought I knew what the ending would consist of, but instead completely surprised me. overall it was good. but long, lots of talk, unnecessary gore, and accents took a while to get used to. loved mike myers too xD |
