(500) Days of Summer
PG-13
Mrs Claudia PuigI, writing to USA Today*, says that "much like Annie Hall did for a previous generation, (500) Days of Summer may be the movie that best captures a contemporary romantic sensibility".
Iīm speechless. In a bad way.
"(500) Days of Summer" is like any other bad romantic comedy, even warning to be a story about love and not a love story. But actually, all the love stories end up being stories about love, donīt they?
The only good point about this movie is that you discover you wonīt die for someone because after a season, thereīs always another one. Well, we hope so!

Impossible not to think about Kurt and Courtney, even if inspite of choosing to bring up a "glamourous" drug and rock nīroll world (or the typical approach of junkies trying to clean up), the movie focus on a woman trying to change her life and to get her son back.
Another interesting point is that itīs not really a sweet movie about mother and son knowing each other and getting close. Emily is not likeable and sheīs not even sure if she wants to settle down. However, itīs more to a "typical" drama movie than any other Olivier Assayasīs movies (Iīve seen) where "nothing really happens".
