Mrs Claudia PuigI, writing to USA Today*, says that "much like Annie Hall did for a previous generation, (500) Days of Summer may be the movie that best captures a contemporary romantic sensibility".
I´m speechless. In a bad way.
"(500) Days of Summer" is like any other bad romantic comedy, even warning to be a story about love and not a love story. But actually, all the love stories end up being stories about love, don´t they?

The only good point about this movie is that you discover you won´t die for someone because after a season, there´s always another one. Well, we hope so!



* the expectation vs reality scene is not that original.
** it was obvious that the independent girl would become a "wife type girl";
*** the smart little sister is too over (=common);
**** the end is really over the top!

The cover is great (to a cat lover like me), the last "Romanian new wave" movies I saw were pretty good and this one got many awards.
Hum... so, what went wrong? Bad mood, maybe?
I really tried to watch it, but after half hour, I found myself fast-fowarding it to the end. It´s not even fair to rate it.
