Maybe the best Christmas movie. Iīm surprised that so many people here didnīt like it.
It took me years to watch it because I didnīt expect anything but a stupid and obvious Xmas comedy but, caught by Christmasīspirit, I decided to see it. With a funny and original script and the help of a pretty good cast, itīs one of those movies that pleases both adults and children alike. |

Patricia Clarkson, always interesting. Elle Fanning, remarkable acting. I didnīt know her before this movie, but Iīm sure sheīs gonna be (even more) a great actress when grown-up. |

Donīt expect anything close to "Elephant", "Last Days" and "Paranoid Park". "Milk" is definitely a mainstream, but purposely. Gus Van Sant hasnīt got caught by the big movie industry, but chose an easy and usual format, wich includes known actors, to make Milkīs story acessible to everyone.
Very good directed and with brilliant perfomances, specially by Sea Penn, "Milk" is a touching and inspiring political teaching. |
