Steve Jobs (2015)I won't pretend like this film is not entertaining or well-made. But… More I won't pretend like this film is not entertaining or well-made. But for me, this is an example of a talented writer over-writing. Aaron Sorkin can be one of the most engaging and brilliant writers when he's on his game, but it can get to his head sometimes. Every major character in this movie is smart, quick-witted, and fast-talking, which makes them nearly indistinguishable from one another as people. There is no room for subtlety, nuance, or reflective silence. It all seems like it's just a bunch of Aaron Sorkins walking around talking to each other very quickly, and considering that this is supposed to paint a portrait of a real man, it only succeeds in leaving the viewer with the impression that he -- Steve Jobs -- acted like an Aaron Sorkin character.
