In one of the more bizarre premises for a movie in recent memory. James Franco, Jay Baruchel, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Craig Robinson, and Danny McBride find themselves front and center for the Apocalypse! So, this could have gone one of two ways. It could have been incredibly stupid or incredibly good. Luckily and somewhat unbelievably THIS IS THE END is so good it hurts. With the raunchy humor that put these guys on the map and a bit of "End of Days" carnage thrown into the mix. The movie plays out like one giant "Stoner Epic" and is the biggest surprise of the summer. Go see this movie!

When I first heard that they would be remaking THE EVIL DEAD! I was pretty upset! As the months flew by and I finally got to see some footage. My hate for the project, turned into genuine excitement. An excitement that followed me into the theater the other day as I decided to check the movie out. So, imagine my surprise! That I fell madly in love with this!
You can't compare the original to this. You just can't! Why? Because, they have a completely different look and tone. That being said, this was so much fun to watch, Blood-filled, cringe-inducing, and genuinely unnerving in parts. There was a couple that walked out of the theater. Which made me love EVIL DEAD that much more.
I will be seeing this atleast once more in the cinema and when the DVD/Blu-Ray comes out. I will be playing it on a weekly basis for the foreseeable future. It is that good!

I grew up reading about Jackie Robinson, I found his story and life most intriguing and incredible. So, of course the moment I learned they were bringing his tale back to the big-screen. I knew I would be there opening day and I was.
The movie evoked all the emotions one might expect with this sort of subject matter. To be honest, 42 is a fairly generic sports biography. But, the talent in front of the camera makes the film something a little different and a little special. When you sit in a dark theater and the crowd in attendance, bursts out into applause. You know you have done your job as a filmmaker and those are the types of movies I enjoy the most.

From what I have read, most people are on the fence about this movie. But, I have to say that I really, really enjoyed it. This is a very solid Sci-Fi film. A very talented cast (Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Melissa Leo, Olga Kurylenko, and Andrea Riseborough) and astounding special effects make OBLIVION pretty memorable. I hope this doesn't fly under the radar. This movie deserves an audience! If you are a fan of the genre and have been waiting for a good science fiction film. Look no further!
