The Mummy Returns - PG-13 Overblown and cranked beyond any human's ability to take it in. July 2, 2006

Superman III - PG I'd say forgettable, but the end bit with the computer and the chick scared the shit out of my 10 year old self. Holy crap! Computer ate a chick! July 2, 2006

Superman II - PG Surpasses the original. It's awesome seeing a depowered Superman take shit like a regular joe. And that thing he does with his Super S is AWESOME! July 2, 2006

Superman - PG The original and best, despite the naff poem and the pants ending. July 2, 2006

Superman Returns - PG-13 Hits all the right notes, but the rhythm section fails to soar. I believe a man can fly. But can he cry? Oh why do I rhyme all the time? July 2, 2006

Underworld - R Kate Beckinsale. Leather. It's all I can really recommend it for. June 25, 2006

Underworld: Evolution - R I love seeing Kate Beckinsale in tight leather as much as the next man, but this one gives us Kate Beckinsale OUT of the leather. This is the sole reason I give the film the rating I have. June 25, 2006

Ultraviolet - PG-13 Ultradumb. Wimmer got it right with Equilibrium. This one was just too much, and the whole "comicbook" thing was just lame. So much potential. Abandons subtlety in favour of rampant grandstanding and nonsensical stylisation. Still, Milla is hotter here than anything she's done beforehand. Pity the supporting cast is lamer than a cripple at a quadraplegic disco. June 21, 2006

Conan the Destroyer - PG Funnier than its predecessor, and with a much, much hotter princess. Who I've met, yay! June 5, 2006
N/A
Conan the Barbarian - R A rousing tale of revenge, served with cold steel and outrageously large biceps. June 5, 2006
N/A
Vanilla Sky - R Headfuckingly cool and heartbreaking. May 30, 2006

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow - PG Heaps of pulpy fun! Giant robots, snappy dialogue, and a fully realised universe. The world needs more films like this. And Angelina Jolie is always pleasurable. May 30, 2006
N/A
X2 - PG-13 A solid adventure which deepens the first film and lays ground for a further exploration of these fascinating characters and their world. May 27, 2006
N/A
X-Men - PG-13 A great introduction to the x-universe. Wisely lets us in on the x-action via Wolverine's eyes. May 27, 2006

X-Men: The Last Stand - PG-13 As a fan, this was a very enjoyable foray into the continuing evolution of the X-Universe. The leads are excellent but why weren't we given some insight into the lives of the new X-Men, Shadowcat and Colossus? X3 rollicks along on spectacle and affecting events, but we needed more time with the mutants of the title. Could have been 20-30 minutes longer. Ratner was not the death knell for X-Men the internet-geek camp thinks he was. A fun, but flawed outing that feels like a prologue and epilogue and deserved more flesh on the bones. May 27, 2006

MirrorMask - PG Gorgeous modern fairy-tale. A true work of art in every sense of the word. May 25, 2006
N/A
Dude, Where's My Car? - PG-13 Fun. May 23, 2006

Bulletproof Monk - PG-13 Suck. May 23, 2006

From Hell - R Moody. May 23, 2006

The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello - Unrated A fantastic voyage indeed! Jasper Morello was robbed of his Oscar. May 18, 2006

The Crow - R More an extended video clip for goth-wannabes and teenage girls who think Brandon Lee is "hot". Pity he died on set, eh? May 17, 2006
